Discover Japan “Fuji Seminar” (Jun 27 ~ Jun 28)
For 2 days from June 27th (Sat) to 28th (Sun), an ESOP subject “Discover Japan I” (Instructor: Prof. Mark Field – Faculty of International Communication, Associate Prof. Akiko Murata – Global Education Center) arranged Discover Japan “Fuji Seminar”, in which 19 exchange students and 18 Hosei students participated and brushed up the lessons from the classroom. Discover Japan aims for the mutual understandings of each other’s country and culture, and to deepen the relationships in the process of researching Japanese social culture cooperatively. This program is held as a part of the Project for Promotion of Global Human Resource Development.
On the first day, the students made a group presentation on the past findings both in English and Japanese. Based on each theme such as aging society of Japan, election, minorities, etc, they presented the findings in their unique point of view, and Q&A time proceeded actively. At the night session, they decided the winner of grand prize and the runner-up by a vote of student him/herself.
On the second day, the students were able to see a magnificent view of Mt.Fuji. While doing fieldwork at each place such as the Fuji Sengen Shrine, the Oshino Hakkai, famous food Hoto, and a local brewery, they were able to touch the history and the culture of Mt. Fuji, the World Cultural Heritage. Sharing 2 days and staying under the same roof made it easy for them to interact and understand each other deeply. In the class and the seminar, using both English and Japanese, the exchange students from all over the world with various cultural backgrounds and the Japanese students worked together. They sometimes faced difficulties in their work of consolidating varied opinions and summarizing it for a presentation. Through the hard situation, however, they got a noble friendship, and we hope they will maintain close ties with each other.
<About ESOP>
ESOP（Exchange Students from Overseas Program）is a program that was established to develop our globalization and accept exchange students from overseas partner Universities. This program provides various themes of subjects in English such as Japanese Literature, Society, Politics, Economics, Business Administration, and so on. Not only exchange students but domestic students can also take these classes. For domestic students, these classes are very helpful to improve their English skills and multi-cultural communication skills. Above all, it would be the best merit that they can interact with exchange students.

Discover Japan ‘후지세미나’를 개최 (6월27일~28일)
6월27일(토)~28일(일) 1박2일 동안, 교환유학생 프로그램(ESOP)의 수업‘Discover Japan I’(담당자: 국제문화학부 마크 필드 교수, 글로벌교육센터 무라타 아키코 준교수)의 일환으로 Discover Japan ‘후지세미나’를 개최하였으며, 교환유학생 19명과 호세이대학교 학생 18명이 참가하였습니다. Discover Japan의 목적은, 교환유학생과 호세이대학교 학생이 협동하여 일본 사회문화에 관하여 조사하는 과정에서 서로의 나라 및 문화를 이해해 가면서 교류를 깊게 하기 위한 수업입니다.
또한 이것은 글로벌인재육성추진사업의 일환으로써 개최된 프로그램이기도 합니다.
첫번째 날, 지금까지 조사한 결과 발표회를 그룹당 영어, 일본어로 실시하였습니다. 일본의 고령화, 선거, 마이너리티등 테마에 근거하여 각자 독특한 시점으로 조사한 결과가 발표되었으며 질의응답도 활발하게 진행되었습니다. 마지막으로 학생들의 투표에 의하여 최우수상, 우수상의 발표를 하고 무사히 회의를 마무리지었습니다.
둘번째 날에는 장마가 잠시 갠 사이에 웅대한 후지산의 절경을 가까이에서 볼수 있었습니다. 후지아사마진쟈(富士浅間神社), 오시노핫카이(忍野八海), 야마나시(山梨) 명산인 방탕, 지방 주조견학 등 각지에서 필드워크를 진행하면서 세계문화유산 후지산의 역사, 문화에 터치할수 있었습니다.
1박2일 동안 숙식을 함께 함으로써 학생들의 교류가 활발하게 진행되어 서로 한층 더 깊이 이해하게 되었을 것입니다. 수업, 및 세미나에서는 영어와 일본어가 난무하는 대화가 펼쳐졌습니다. 다양한 문화와 배경을 가진 유학생들과 일본인 학생들이 하나의 테마에 관하여 조사하고 발표하는 작업과정에서 곤란한 상황에 처했을 때도 있었습니다. 하지만 그것을 극복하고 얻은 우정은 무엇과도 바꿀수 없는 것이며 앞으로도 계속하여 교류하기를 바라고 있습니다.
<ESOP에 관하여>
ESOP（Exchange Students from Overseas Program）는 본교 글로벌화를 추진하기 위해, 해외 협정 대학의 교환유학생을 대상으로 모든 수업을 영어로 실시하며, 일본문학, 사회, 정치, 경제, 경영 등 다양한 테마를 중심으로 수업을 하고 있습니다. 또한 교환학생뿐만 아니라 본교 학생도 수강할 수 있으며 어학 능력 향상과 국제 커뮤니케이션 능력을 습득하므로써 아주 의의가 있는 프로그램이며 가장 큰 장점은 외국인 유학생과의문화교류를 활발히 할 수 있는 것입니다.

我校举办Discover Japan ‘富士研修会’（6月27日～28日）
6月27日（星期六）~6月28日（星期日）两天，我校举办了接受交换留学生计划（ESOP）课程Discover Japan I（由国际文化学院马克伏尔徳教授，国际教育中心村田晶子准教授）课的总结而举办的富士研修会。
研修会一共参加19名交换留学生及18名法政大学学生。
Discover Japan是交换留学生和法政大学学生在共同调查日本社会文化过程中，为了加强对方国家文化理解而开设的科目。并且也是作为推进国际人才课程的一个环节而实行的。
第一天，分成小组分别用英，日语发表了调查结果。大家围绕日本的高龄化，选举，少子化等主题，发表了各自独到的调查结果，并展开了热闹的问答讨论。夜间还有学生自主投标选出最优秀发表奖和优秀发表奖。
第二天，在梅雨暂停瞬间大家饱览了富士壮观的绝景。大家参观了富士浅间神社，忍野八海、山梨特产及本地造酒业，通过这一系列现地调查，接触了世界遗产富士山的历史及文化。
通过两天的共同活动，学生们进行了活泼的交流，并加深了解了对方。在上课和研修会上大家用日语和英语交流。来自不同文化背景的各国留学生和日本学生在总结同一课题调查结果时，还不时遇到了一些困难。但他们共同克服这些困难，换得了可贵的友谊，希望今后也要发展这种友谊。
《关于ESOP》
ESOP（Exchange Students from Overseas Program）是我校本着国际化的发展，对同我校有广泛交流的海外协议大学之交换留学生设定的计划。本计划之课程以英语讲日本文学、社会、政治、经济、经营等各种课程。学科不只限于交换留学生，还对我校学生开放，对提高其语言能力，国际交际能力有非常大的意义。不仅这些，同留学生们能够加深异文化交流，还具有无可比较的意义的。
