Baylor Students Arrive for Japanese Study and Exchange Meeting. (Jun/5 ~ Jun/18)
From June 5th (Fri) to 18th (Thu), nine exchange students and one instructor from Baylor University (TX, USA), the partner of Hosei University, arrived in Japan and completed a short-term extensive Japanese language program, “Baylor in Japan”.
This is the fourth year since the program started, and it includes the following contents – learning Japanese intensively at both Universities of Baylor and Hosei – experiencing Japanese culture by studying abroad in Japan for a short term – interacting with the Japanese.
Additionally, the Baylor students participated in the following activities – Japanese language lesson by a supervising instructor at Hosei – a campus tour guided by Japanese students with experience of studying abroad – a tea ceremony experience cooperated by a tea ceremony club – an exchange meeting with Hosei graduates who had studied abroad in Baylor University before.
In the exchange meeting, Q&A with the graduates proceeds actively, and the exchanges between both students became enjoyable as well. A Hosei student said, “It was a precious chance because there’re few chances to speak English outside a class. I would like to participate again next year if possible.” Another said, “It was very meaningful. I hope to try for the exchange student program of Hosei.” It seemed to become significant moment for them though it was a short time. The meeting was concluded with a promise that the students and the instructors of both Universities would maintain the relationships more tightly from this day onward. After the program at Hosei, Baylor students went on to Minami Sanriku, Kyoto, and Hiroshima for fieldworks.
미국 베일러대학교 학생이 본교에서 단기유학
일본어 프로그램과 교류회를 실시 (6월5일~6월18일)
6월5일(금)~18일(목) 본교 협정교인 베일러대학(텍사스주,미국합중국)의 단기 유학생 9명과 교원 1명이 본교에서 단기일본어집중프로그램 ‘Baylor in Japan’ 을 실시하였습니다.
본 프로그램은 올해로 네번째이며 베일라대학 및 호세이대학에서 일본어를 집중적으로 배울 수 있으며 일본문화를 체험하고 일본인과의 교류를 하기 위하여 실시된것입니다..
본교 시설을 이용하여 인솔교원의 일본어 수업 외에도 본교 파견유학생에 의한 캠퍼스 주변의 안내, 다도(茶道)연구회의 협조에 의한 다도 체험, 베일러대학에서 파견유학을 경험한 졸업생을 둘러싼 교류회 등 여러가지 다양한 활동이 진행되었습니다.
교류회에서는 졸업생에게 질문이 끊임없이 이어지며 학생간의 교류도 아주 활발하게 진행되었습니다. 참가한 본교 학생은 “수업외에 영어로 대화할 기회가 없었으며 귀중한 기회였다, 내년에도 꼭 참석하고 싶다”, “아주 많은 참고가 되었으며 파견유학에 꼭 도전해 보고싶다”고 소감을 밝혔으며, 짧은 시간이었지만 유익하고 소중한 시간이 되었다고 느낍니다.
또한 이번 기획은 학생들이 서로 교류를 하면서 서로의 언어와 문화에 대해 관심을 갖고 더욱 가까워지는 기회가 되었습니다. 이후에도 교류를 계속할 것을 약속하며 프로그램을 마무리하였습니다. 본교에서 학습한 후 미나미산리꾸(南三陸), 교토(京都), 히로시마(広島)에서 시찰을 할 예정입니다.
美国贝勒大学的学生来我校短期留学
举办日语学习计划和交流会（6月5日~18日）
6月5日（星期五）~18日（星期四），我校姐妹校-贝勒大学（美国•德克萨斯州）9名短期留学生及1位教师在我校举办了短期日语学习计划“Baylor in Japan”。
该计划是在贝勒大学及法政大学短期留学过程中，为了集中学习日语，体验日本文化而开设的。包括这一次，该计划已经进行了四次。
在教师的带领下，进行了日语课程，而我校交换留学生带领短期留学生参观校舍，并且在茶道研究会的协助下还体验了茶道。最后，随着在贝勒大学留学过的毕业生的安排下，学生们进行了交流会等活动。
在交流会，学生们展开了热烈的问答讨论，进行了活跃的交流。参加该交流会的我校学生说“除了课堂以外我们一般没有说英语的机会，所以这次交流会对我们来说是一次非常宝贵的机会。如果明年也有这样的机会还要参加”，“这次交流会给了我很大的帮助，我也想要挑战一下交换留学”等各种感想，虽然时间短暂，但是对学生们来说是一个非常有意义又值得参与的计划。
通过这次交流，学生们加深了解了对方，加强对方国家语言和文化理解，并且对彼此国家怀有了亲近感。学生们承诺今后也要继续加深彼此之间的交流并发展这种友谊。在我校学习之后，预定去南三陸、京都和広島作考察。
