Welcome to Hosei university

Congratulations on your pass to Hosei University.
We inform you of procedures for international students for Spring 2023.
This information will be revised for need.

Orientation (Guidance)

The orientation for international students will be implemented by HyFlex.
Those whose residence status is/ will be “Student” must attend this orientation.

  • Date: Friday, March 31st
  • Time: 13:00~14:30
  • Announcement: URL will be informed by email.

Renewal period of your stay for those who stay in Japan

New students whose date of expiration is before April 30th, 2023 are eligible to apply for renewing the residence card.
Please apply by the URL below.

New students whose date of expiration is after May 1st, 2023 are able to apply for renewal after entering Hosei University. Please follow the instruction by Global Education Center.

Then, apply both ① and ②.

Issuing Certificate of enrollment

Please email us, gso@hosei.ac.jp for need of certificate of enrollment, 申請用紙 except for above “Monbukagakusho Honors Scholarship for Privately-Financed International Students.”
If you are a reservation holder of “Monbukagakusho Honors Scholarship for Privately-Financed International Students” and need Certificate of enrollment, follow as above.
For graduate programs, please ask your faculty for Certificate of enrollment.

Leave of absence after your enrollment

You may take a leave of absence right after your enrollment because of your country military service. If you have a plan to do so, please inform Global Education Center,  gso@hosei.ac.jp

After all procedures are completed and confirmed, the tuition fee of the first spring semester and an equivalent amount of registration fees will be refunded as a scholarship.
