Application Guideline for Outgoing Fee-paying Study Abroad Program to partner institutions

Program description
Applying the Fee-paying Study Abroad Program(認定海外留学制度), students can study at 4 partner institutions in the United States and Australia. The students will enroll in the regular courses at the host universities in order to study subjects related to their major at HOSEI. The period of study abroad can be selected from 1 academic year or 1 semester.
After returning to Japan, the credits acquired at the partner institution will be recognized as credits required for graduation at HOSEI University, after being deliberated at the faculty council, with a limitation of 30 to 60 credits. (Please ask for details at your own faculty)

*The students who obtained 12 credits or more at HOSEI at the time of application will be required GPA2.25.
The students who obtained less than 12 credits at HOSEI at the time of application will be required GPA2.5.

(Note)
* A half amount of scholarship will be paid for those who select 1 semester study abroad.
**Only the students who have Japanese nationality or permanent residency will be eligible.

The applicants should complete all the steps following during the designated application period:

Note
If you choose 1 year for your study abroad period at the time of application, you will not be able to change it to one semester.
You shall take at least 2 courses each semester, acquire the credits, and take procedures for accreditation at your faculty in HOSEI University.
You shall purchase the overseas travel accident insurance designated by HOSEI University.
All procedures related to studying abroad shall be carried out by yourself.
Tuition fees and other expenses above are the amounts presented by each institution as of October 2023, and are not fixed amounts. Information may change without notice due to circumstances at partner institutions.
Since you will be studying abroad applying the Fee-paying Study Abroad Program, you will be treated in accordance with that system. Please read the application guidelines for the “Fee-paying Study Abroad Program” carefully and make sure you understand the obligations and precautions.
The participants must attend multiple orientation sessions.
