Your study plan in Hosei.

At Hosei University, I had the freedom to choose my courses since I had already completed my mandatory classes in Germany, and everything else was additional. Consequently, I selected courses based on my interests. My study plan was primarily a mix of ESOP and GIS courses, including Physical and Health Education, Applied Psychology, Human and Environment, Family and Sexuality in Japan, Hospitality Management in Japan, and Marketing in Japan.

Why did you choose to study in Hosei

I chose Japan, and specifically Hosei University, as my destination because I was very keen on learning more about Japanese culture. Given that my home university is partnered with Hosei, it was a natural choice. Additionally, Hosei's high reputation and its location in Tokyo also influenced my decision.

What did your study abroad experience bring you?

Studying abroad has primarily brought me new friends from around the world. It’s fascinating to see the diversity in each culture and how we can learn from one another, enriching our understanding of different countries. Additionally, through my semester abroad, I have gained deeper insights into myself and proven once again that I can rely on my skills and abilities to navigate living in a foreign country.

Message to the prospective students

Be aware of getting a cultural shock at the beginning and in general be open-minded. Initially, everything might feel overwhelming since Tokyo is one of the largest cities in the world. However, an open mind will help you navigate the busy life of Tokyo and find positives in every situation. Additionally, try to learn Japanese as it will open new doors and opportunities for you. Also, it will show your respect to the Japanese culture and the people.
