各国にある日本大使館・領事館での選考を経て、法政大学大学院で学ぶことを希望する留学生が対象です。

例年4月に各国の日本大使館・領事館で翌年度4月または9・10月に渡日する留学生の募集が始まります。採用スケジュールの詳細は下記の「申請手順」をご覧ください。

通常、大使館推薦枠で採用された留学生は非正規生として入学することになります。正規生（修士課程・博士後期課程）に進学するためには、非正規生として在学している期間中に、または、入国前に希望する研究科の入学試験を受験し合格する必要があります。

非正規生として在学できる期間は、4月期渡日の場合は2年間（渡日から翌々年の3月まで）、10月期渡日の場合は1.5年間（渡日から翌々年の3月まで）です。
なお、非正規生から正規生として大学院の正規課程に進学希望の者、あるいは大学院修士課程から博士課程に進学希望の者など、必要条件に応じて、奨学金延長申請ができます。

This is for international students who wish to study at HOSEI University Graduate School after being screened at Japanese embassies or consulates in their countries.

Usually in April, Japanese embassies and consulates in each country begin recruiting international students who will come to Japan in April or September/October. For details on the recruitment schedule, please see "Application procedure" below.

Generally, MEXT students of Embassy Recommendation will belong to the university as non-regular students. In order to become regular degree students of MA or PhD courses, MEXT students need to apply and pass the entrance examinations of their desired graduate school during the period as non-regular students.

The designated period as non-regular students is two years for those who belong to the university from April term (from April to March of the year after the next), and one and a half year for those who belong to the university from October term (from September to March of the year after the next).

Furthermore, non-regular students wishing to advance to a regular degree course in a graduate school as a regular student, or regular students in a master’s or professional graduate course wishing to proceed to a doctoral course, with outstanding academic achievement that meets certain criteria may apply for extension of the scholarship period for advanced study and may have the scholarship period extended upon a successful examination by MEXT.

日本語学位研究科の入学試験と授業は全て日本語で行われますので、入学を希望する学生には日本語能力が必要となります。希望の研究科が受入れ可能かどうか、下記の表を参照してください。

英語学位で受入れ可能な研究科専攻は、IIST(大学院理工学研究科・情報科学研究科）のみです。IISTにも受け入れ可能な専攻と受け入れ不可能な専攻があります。上の表を参照してください。

Graduate Schools of Hosei University offer Japanese based courses and English based courses for MEXT scholarship students. For Japanese degree courses, students are required Japanese language ability. Only Institute of Integrated Science and Technology ( IIST ), graduate program offered by the Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences and Graduate School of Science and Engineering, is acceptable as English degree programs. Some majors of IIST are not offered. Please see the above table.
