Welcome Party Held for Fall 2025 Exchange Students

On Thursday, September 11, the Center for Global Education hosted the Fall Semester Welcome Party for Exchange Students at Satta Hall on the Ichigaya Campus.

Held at the start of each semester, this event welcomes exchange students from our partner universities abroad, outgoing and approved study abroad students from Hosei University, and students and faculty involved in international exchange activities. The party marks the beginning of a semester- or year-long study abroad experience for many of our incoming exchange students.

As the event began, the atmosphere was a mix of excitement and nervous anticipation. Some students arrived with bright, eager expressions, looking forward to their new experiences and friendships, while others appeared slightly tense as they adjusted to the unfamiliar environment.

During the socializing session, students enjoyed light refreshments and drinks while engaging in lively conversations that transcended language and cultural barriers. As the room filled with laughter and friendly chatter, the ice gradually melted.

This was followed by a team-based Quiz Tournament organized by the core members of HUBs, our student volunteer group. Participants formed teams based on their earlier campus tour groups and enthusiastically tackled a series of quiz questions together. Their collaborative spirit and friendly competition left a lasting impression.

The winning team received a special prize, drawing cheers and applause from the crowd and further energizing the event. By the end of the evening, the initial tension had completely lifted. Many students posed for commemorative photos with big smiles, bringing the party to a cheerful and heartwarming close.

Hosei University remains committed to creating an inclusive environment where exchange students and local students can learn and grow together. We will continue to promote international exchange through a wide range of initiatives and support programs.
