Global Cross-Cultural Exchange Event on " Global Career Mindset & Regenerative Leadership " Successfully Held

On July 7, 2026, the Hosei University Global Education Center hosted a Global Cross-Cultural Exchange Event titled "Global Career Mindset & Regenerative Leadership." The event featured guest speakers Christian Sarkar (co-founder of the Regenerative Marketing Institute) and Uta Shimada, Ph.D. (Senior Director, CHRO Office, Fujitsu Limited).The lecture attracted 105 participants, including 70 international students from institutions such as UC Berkeley, making it a vibrant forum for global dialogue.

Mr. Christian Sarkar’s presentation offered clear insights into the future of leadership, bridging the concepts of renewing the "Common Good" and fostering human-centered well-being.

Drawing from her international journey, Dr. Shimada shared that before meeting the world, one must first meet oneself. Shifting from societal "shoulds" to personal "wants" and holding one’s own steering wheel are the true catalysts for a resilient global mindset. While AI expands our computational capabilities, it cannot define who we become. Human qualities—such as empathy, connection, and courage—are what activate our potential. Dr. Shimada highlighted Fujitsu’s well-being framework to show how individual vitality can ripple outward to contribute to a better future. 

After Dr. Shimada's lecture, a dialogue was held between Diana Khor, President of Hosei University, and Dr. Shimada. In the dialogue, they emphasized "Your career is not only the work you do. It is the person you become – and the world you help regenerate." This inspiring message left a lasting impression on all attendees. 

The lecture concluded with an energetic Q&A session driven by thought-provoking inquiries from both domestic and international students. Key discussion topics included:
"How should we approach and plan our future careers in an unpredictable era?"
"What kind of mindset is essential to navigate life while staying true to oneself?"
