Experiencing Japanese Baseball: Tokyo Big 6 University Baseball Tour
Beginning of the Baseball Tour
On 10 May, ESOP students and several HUBs had the opportunity to attend a game of the Tokyo Big 6 University Baseball League, one of Japan’s most well-known university sports competitions. The group met at 10:00 a.m. at the Meiji Memorial Picture Gallery Parking Lot before walking together to Meiji Jingu Baseball Stadium. Before the game began, the Hosei University cheerleaders introduced some important customs and rules to follow during the match. For many exchange students, this was their first time experiencing Japanese baseball, which made the event especially memorable.

Game Highlights
The game itself was exciting to watch. Hosei University started strongly, scoring two runs in the first inning and taking an early lead. However, the University of Tokyo gradually gained momentum, made a comeback, and secured an 8–5 victory. Although Hosei University did not win, the event was a very positive experience for all of the students. ESOP students and HUBs had the opportunity to connect with new people, support Hosei University, and gain a deeper understanding of Japanese university culture while enjoying the sunny weather.
