「東京六大学野球応援」に参加しました！
5月18日（土）、学生センター主催の課外教養プログラム「東京六大学野球応援」に交換留学（ESOP）生60名、日本語教育プログラム（JLP）生9名に加えて学生スタッフなど日本人学生も一緒に参加し、球場では一丸となって声援を送りました。
快晴の中、エール交換や応援団、チアリーダーによる演技など大学野球ならではのパフォーマンスを存分に楽しめました。試合も2対0で法政大学が勝利し、留学生活のいい思い出の一つとなりました。

5月18日、私は明治神宮野球場に法政大学対早稲田大学の試合を見に行った。
そもそも野球というのはアニメではしか見たことがなくて、特に興味深かったわけではないため、
ただ週末の暇つぶしをしようと思っていた。でも、野球場に入ったらすぐに何かを間違えたと気づいた私がいた。
応援の声は応援歌とともに私の心を叩きながら、雲一つ見つからない春の空を響いていた。歌詞とか応援のセリフは知らないけれど、リズムに合わせて拍手するだけで十分盛り上がる。あまり野球のルールに詳しくないが、野球の球が空で美しい線を描くたびに、まるで私自身も選手になって戦うように感じる。
早稲田も法政もみんな強いが、最後に激しい勝負で法政大学が勝ち取ってくれて良かったと思う。

As of this game, I have been to two baseball games in America, and two baseball games in Japan.
I went to the baseball event last semester at Hosei, as well. Our team won both times, which makes me think that either I am very lucky, or our team is just that good.
American baseball is so different from Japanese baseball, especially in the structure of cheering. In Japan, we were instructed by the cheerleaders and such to stand up and do specific cheers.In America, you spend most of the time sitting down, and from what I remember, my team (the Chicago Cubs) has maybe one actual cheer/song that we sing (Go Cubs Go!).
I thought the Japanese way of doing it was very interesting! I really enjoyed how excited everyone got when we scored a point! All in all, it was a great game and I’m glad I got to take part in cheering our team on.
