Courses/Programs with restricted access ESOP students can register all courses in Hosei University.
To register non-ESOP classes, students must get the approval from each lecturers at the first class.
Regarding classes conducted in Japanese, students with a high level of Japanese proficiency are able to attend. It depends on the results of language placement test conducted at the beginning of the semester. The Program Director gives advises on the course registration to exchange students.
Courses/Programs offered in English ESOP offers 37 content courses on Japan-related topics in English (As of Academic Year 2016).

Health Insurance Requirements Exchange students must enroll in “National Health Insurance” (Kokumin Kenko Hoken) after arrival. “Insurance for Hosei University International Students” (Hosei Daigaku Gaikokujin Ryugakusei no tame no Gakusei Hoken) is optional.
Visa Information Hosei University will make the necessary applications on students’ behalf.
Intensive language instruction We offer intensive Japanese language instruction for exchange students during semester.

Estimated Cost of Living per month Monthly living cost for exchange students is approximately \80,000~\100,000 excluding monthly dormitory rent.
Scholarships Hosei University may recommend exchange students as candidates for JASSO(Japan Student Services Organization) SCHOLARSHIP FOR SHORT-TERM STUDY IN JAPAN”. Students accepted by the Organization receive scholarships of \80,000 per month.
