Exchange meeting with ESOP graduates in Tokyo (Jan 12, 2018)

The exchange meeting with ESOP graduates in Tokyo was held on January, 12th. In this event, ESOP graduates (former exchange students from overseas) who are studying / working in Tokyo made a presentation and gave advise to current exchange students. Two ESOP graduates were invited this time, Ms. Gaolewa REN and Mr. Tristan JUNKER.

Ms. Ren is a student of Hosei University Graduate School. She was an exchange student from China and enrolled in Hosei University in 2015 for one semester. After she graduate her home university, she entered Hosei University Graduate School. She is now doing a research about Japanese language. This time, she explained graduate students’ life at Hosei University. She gave the advice to current exchange students, “A man away from home need to feel no shame. Try many things as much as you can while studying as an exchange student”.

Mr. Junker established a company called “Kaikoku Co., Ltd.” and now he is a CEO of this company. He was an exchange student from Germany and entered in Hosei University from 2014 to 2015 (two semesters). He made the presentation and told his history mainly about student life in university. During the study period in Hosei University, he challenged many things voluntarily. This experience motivate him to work in Tokyo. From his experience, he gave the advice to current exchange students: “Give a part of home country to gain a bigger part of Japan”.
